C31 was given a one-off Government grant to make the switch to digital but it wasn't enough.  The station raised additional funds to upgrade equipment, facilities and make the transition to digital - by appealing to its viewers directly - on the air-waves.

The Station airs over 95 locally produced shows each week making it by far the largest broadcaster of local content in Australia, and it serves as a training ground for the entire television sector.

All subscribers receive a subscriber number and receive discounts at selected Melbourne businesses.

Subscribers also get an exclusive quarterly newsletter featuring C31 news and previews of upcoming seasons and programs.
